Congrats to Kent State’s Bateman Team

Radar Public Relations & Consulting is proud to support the educational advancement of area youth. Therefore, Radar sponsored Kent State public relations students as they took part in a nationwide effort to increase awareness among middle and high school students to start thinking and preparing for college now. The work performed by these Kent State students was part of the Public Relations Student Society of America’s (PRSSA) Bateman Case Study Competition Brief.

As Bill Sledzik reported on his blog, the students’ local efforts achieved measurable results. In a pre-campaign survey, 72 percent of students polled said they regularly talk to their parents about college. After the campaign, 85.3 percent said they were going to talk to their parents about college. Check out Bill’s blog for more about the team’s results.

It comes as no surprise that Kent State’s Bateman team performed so well. Michele Ewing, APR, advised the team. In case you don’t know, she was the 2006 Teahan Award winner for Outstanding Chapter Faculty Advisor in the Public Relations Student Society of America.

As a Kent grad myself, I can attest to the fact that the faculty in Kent’s PR program is second to none. I’m very proud to see that the program’s students continue to succeed.
